Have you noticed all the dry leaves falling?
I guess that means it’s time to focus on work again.
One of my favorite things about fall is the ability to layer. Layering means more fun work style options. But we are not there yet – the days are still hot and summery. Here are three ideas, as seen in on elle.com, that you can use to transition your work wardrobe from summer to fall while the weather is still warm:
1. High Waisted Pants – The key to wearing high waisted pants is to ensure the perfect fit. Too small, and high waisted pants are unflattering: Too big, and high waisted pants look frumpy.
2. Flounce Hemlines – Instead of a pencil skirt or midi skirt, try a flounce skirt. The flounce can be minimal or pronounced, and can be found in varying lengths to coordinate with your body type and height. Add a blazer, to complete your professional look.
3. Shades Of Grey- Monochromatic grey is big this season. If you wear a suit to work – why not opt for grey. If you don’t wear a suit, you can rock this trend simply by choosing a monochromatic color palette, for example; grey pants or skirt, grey jacket, and grey shell, elevated tee (for casual Friday), or blouse.
If grey is not your color, and/or to make your monochromatic look pop – add a statement color shoe, handbag, necklace or scarf.
P.S. What did you do this summer? Share with me in the comments- I’d love to hear.
