At first blush, you may think it would be hard to pull off fall’s dusty pink and yellow trend at work.
But it’s a cinch.
And according to Empower Yourself With The Psycholgy Of Color, yellow stimulates your mental faculties; it activates your left or analytical brain. This color is great choice to wear on a day you have a planning meeting.
Muted colors like dusty rose are more conservative, therefore more acceptable at work than some of the electric color we saw on the runway. Wearing the two together creates a fresh, interesting look your colleagues will either envy or admire. Either way you will be noticed when you wear pink and yellow together:
These colors may read spring to you – fair enough. The trick is to choose fabrics and clothing items that read fall- like turtlenecks and coats, and fabrics like velvet or wool.
And if you balk at jumping into full-on dusty pink and yellow – try a scarf with those colors instead and perhaps pair with a dusty rose or yellow top and neutral bottom.
What I love about the dusty rose and yellow combination – how feminine it is while maintaining an energetic, yang image because of the vibrant direct energy yellow delivers.
Stay sunny, and hope everything turns up roses for you.
P.S. Readers, would you wear these colors to work?
