Winter Coat Edit – Flattering Fits For 5 Body Types

Your winter coat is the shining star of your cool weather wardrobe. People see you in your winter coat everyday as you make your way through your morning routine, to and from the office, and after hours heading in and out of desk-to-dinner functions.

So, on that note, how’s your winter coat?

Not loving? Now is the time to take action! Temperatures are dropping  quickly over the next few weeks. To help you look amazing, here is your guide to winter coat trends suitable for women in leadership,  broken down by body type:

Busty–  if you have “girls” as I like to say – opt for lady-like, super-tailored coats that are nipped in at the waist.

Boyish: If you have a small chest, look for fitted shapes that emphasize a waist and have an exaggerated collar to give added volume up top. This flounce coat does the job.

A Little Extra In The Middle – Try on coats that are structured through the shoulders without emphasizing a waist. A longer coat that hits above the knee will elongate your body giving the illusion of a leaner look.

Note: Camel color coats are perfectly on point for the season.

Petite – Cropped peacoats are perfect for petite body types. Cream, Camel or  green are great choices this year. Want a safer color? You can never go wrong with a navy or grey peacoat.

Tall – oversize drop shoulder type styles are fantastic if your are tall. You could chose a shorter style like this one, or for a dressier look go for a full length option.

Stay warm and stylish!
